Our archives are a gold mine of aviation history for the United States and the world. We have original documents, photographs, negatives, drawings, periodicals and blueprints of many historic aircraft.
STEM SPRING BREAK CAMP
The Kansas Aviation Museum is excited to offer STEM Spring Break Camps using our all new, "We Will Build it Better," elementary curriculum. Students will learn about aviation careers through hands-on experiences that engages students in 3 days of fun. This camp is designed for grades 1-5.

‘We WILL Build It Better’ is a curriculum designed by Flight Works Alabama in connection with Airbus, Amazon Web Services and Snap-on Incorporated. Thanks to a generous donation from Airbus America Engineering in Wichita, the Kansas Aviation Museum has purchased these learning kits.
Build a BD5 Camp
Help us build an airplane and be a part of our newest exhibit! Our BD5-J aircraft kit was built in Kansas and has remained an important feature to Kansas aviation. During the camp, participants will learn to catalog parts, assemble large and small parts such as the wings, landing gear, canopy, and controls. In addition to learning about the Jim Bede story, each aviation student will expand their skills and knowledge in both the aviation and aerospace sectors. This camp continues the BD5-J experience from 2023 for both returning and new builders.
