Paul Fortin

Governor’s Aviation Honor Award

After receiving his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas, Fortin served in the United States Air Force. He flew reconnaissance missions to gather electronic information around the world, including combat missions in Vietnam. He held positons at the Pentagon in the Directorate of Intelligence and the Directorate of Research and Development. He served four years in the USAF representative on the Joint Atomic Energy and Scientific Technical Intelligence Committees, providing National Intelligence data to the White House.
