Governor’s Aviation Honor Award

As Associate to the President at Kansas State University, Reagan was responsible for important programs supporting the collegiate environment. As a former commuter airline pilot, it was his dream to combine his knowledge of aviation with higher education for students desiring to become professional pilots. Reagan was instrumental in the merger of the aviation programs at Kansas College of Technology in Salina with Kansas State University in Manhattan. He secured a $7.7 million-dollar grant to support the aeronautical studies program. Reagan helped to implement high quality training, improved facilities and    world-class curriculum for a professional pilot degree program. Reagan’s vision and dedication helped produce some of the finest professional pilots serving the aviation industry.
