Johnson piloted pro golfer, Arnold Palmer, served as chief of production flight test for Learjet, acted as the production flight test manager of Cessna, and was an aviation manager for Koch Industries. He served as the president and chief operating officer at Cessna, president of Aero Electric Aircraft Corporation, and a member of the board for the XTI Aircraft Company. Johnson has received the Cessna Executive of the Year Award, the Living Legends Award, and a Presidential Leadership Award from the National Center for Aviation Training. Johnson has over 15,000 hours of flight time, including 5,000 hours as a test pilot. During his time at Cessna and Learjet he was involved with the certification of over twenty-five new models of aircrafts. His volunteer work at the aviation museums, including the Kansas Aviation Museum and Denver’s Wings Over the Rockies, has spread the love of flight to thousands of people.
