Mark Schlegel has participated in aviation flight testing for over fifty years, with forty-seven of those years in the Wichita aviation community.  He is an FAA Wright Brothers Master pilot and a Fellow of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots.  Schlegel has been a pilot for almost 60 years, with over 14,000 hours as a pilot and over 8,000 hours as a flight test engineer.  He has flown development and certification flight tests in Cessna and Bombardier programs from the Cessna 152 through the Bombardier Global Express.  He flew many groundbreaking flights in the development and certification of Synthetic & Enhanced Flight Vision Systems.  Schlegel flew experimental flight tests through the age of 79.  In retirement, he flies dog rescue flights through Pilots n Paws.
