Thursday, February 8th – Teresa Day – “Why Wichita is the Air Capital” 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Teresa Day is the Interim Executive Director here at the Kansas Aviation Museum. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science as well as work towards her Masters in History. In prior years, Teresa was the Executive Director here at the Kansas Aviation Museum in 2004-2008.
In the presentation “Why Wichita is the Air Capital” Teresa will talk about the rich aviation history here in Wichita, KS. She will explain from the beginning why Wichita was chosen and who, some of them famous, had a hand in the start of the aviation businesses here in Wichita. Teresa will also talk about the importance of this building which was formally the Wichita Municipal Airport. She has extensive knowledge about the planes and artifacts we have here at the museum. She will also talk about some of the rich and famous people who have entered the doors in our past.
