Lon Smith
Lon Smith, born and raised in Wood River, Illinois, comes to the Kansas Aviation Museum via the Museum of World Treasures where he was Director of Sales and Marketing for approximately three years. Having spent the majority of his career in the hospitality and entertainment business, he has worked as a professional entertainer, owned a live theater, and worked in the hotel/restaurant industry along with corporate event planning for some twenty-five years. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Speech Communication along with a Master of Public Administration with a nonprofit management emphasis. Volunteer activities include work with the Civic Action Body, Meals on Wheels, Wood River Heritage Council and Visioneering Wichita. |
