Senior Thursdays – Paul Bowen Presents “Air To Air Photography”

Thursday, July 13th – Paul Bowen Presents “Air To Air Photography” (10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)

“Paul Bowen, a commercial photographer based in Wichita, Kansas, has specialized in aviation photography since 1972. He is credited with over 1,000 magazine covers and countless advertising campaigns. In 2014 Paul Bowen was inducted into the Kansas Aviation Hall of Fame. Paul is best known for his vortices aerials, which capture the spinning currents of air produced at the tip of a moving airplane wing, revealed in clouds or fog. His four coffee-table books, Air To Air, Volumes I and II, Air To Air Warbirds, and Air To Air Mustangs and Corsairs have gained critical acclaim.” – Paul Bowen Bio

Mr. Harold Henderson from the Lake Afton Observatory will be talking about the Meteor Showers that will fall on August 11th and 12th. He will also be talking about the Total Solar Eclipse that will happen on August 21st.

This summer camp for K-2nd grade will let students explore and experiment with the science of aviation. Camp is from 10 AM to 1 PM, and registration is $30 per student. Please remember to send a sack lunch with your student. Register in person or download Camp Registration Form and return the form to Rebecca Payne at rebeccapayne@kansasaviationmuseum.org.

Event Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A rare view of at least twelve planes will be brought out of storage for a one day event. These are beautiful planes that have been restored by our fantastic team of volunteers. These planes are only available for one day so do not miss this.

Details: Custom cars and trucks parked under and around the airplanes on our ramp.
Registered cars are allowed two (2) people per car for free into the musuem.
